- You can force staff to take holiday during furlough.
- There are advance notice periods to adhere to.
- You can include bank holidays.
- Staff still accrue holiday during furlough thus it makes sense to use holiday to reduce costs later.
- You can defer holidays until later if you prefer. Carrying forward holiday is by agreement with the employer and employee. I.e. Employer's decision.

- .gov has included examples.
- IF FORCING HOLIDAY, THE EMPLOYER MUST PAY THE FULL HOLIDAY RATE I.E. THEIR NORMAL PAY (NOT THE 80% REDUCED AMOUNT).
- THE EMPLOYER CAN STILL RECLAIM 80% OF THE HOLIDAY ON THEIR FURLOUGH CLAIM.
