- Those who pay themselves a salary and dividends through their own company, the dividends are not covered by the scheme.
- But will be covered for their salary by the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme if they are operating PAYE schemes.
- Directors of limited companies can claim the 80% on the salary element under PAYE.
- A director can furlough them self but unlike a self-employed person, they cannot work.
- It appears unreasonable, they can't expect a business owner to do nothing a let their business go to the wall.

- Payroll figures submitted for Feb-20 will be used for the calculation.
- If the business is still operating E.g. petrol station / shop / myself, then you are not eligible so must no claim any grant. You can still claim for staff if they have been furloughed.
- Tax Credits may be available if you cannot pay dividends thus on less money but can still work especially if you are home based - you need to contact the Tax credit Office 0345 300 3900.
