Fake UKPC parking tickets
Scammers. A new scam e-mail purporting to be from UK Parking Control Ltd (UKPC) is doing the rounds. It contains an official looking penalty charge notice (PCN) that says you have parked on a client’s private land and must now pay £90. You’re then asked to click on the payment options to settle this amount. UKPC has confirmed that, whilst the PCN looks genuine, it never makes contact via e-mail. Where it issues a PCN, it sends a hard copy notice to the registered keeper of a vehicle at the address logged with the DVLA. So do not pay any PCN you receive via e-mail or click on any links as they may contain malware.
