Many self-serve till's now ask if you want your receipt. Now till staff are asking if you require your receipt. There have been reports shop staff are adding a small cash-back of £10/£20 to your card then passing it off to an accomplice as their change a few minutes later, thus no one can accuse them of pocketing the cash.

Please always check the amount on the pin terminal (if it is displayed) before entering in your pin and always check your receipt. Remember a staff member may be watching regular customers to target. 

Besides you never know when you might get to the car and realise there is something wrong with your purchase, (food may be out of date or rotten); I always throw my receipt in the recycle bin when I get home. 

ASK FOR A RECEIPT & CHECK IT ON YOUR WAY TO THE DOOR. YOU CAN ALWAYS THROW IT AWAY IN THE BIN OUTSIDE OR THE RECYCLE BIN AT HOME.

DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE SCAMMED BEFORE CHECKING RECEIPTS, BESIDES IF YOU CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS, YOU MAY NOT NOTICE IT. IF YOU DIDN'T CHALLENGE THE FIRST TIME, TILL STAFF MAY TARGET YOU REPEATEDLY.
